Graphic Designer - Proposals and Technical Documentation

Ovoco needs graphic designers who can create clear, professional visuals for federal proposals and technical documents.

You would design graphics for proposals, technical reports, and marketing materials on quick turnarounds. This is project-based work that often comes last minute with tight deadlines, including evenings and weekends.

The Work

  • Design data visualizations, process diagrams, org charts, and technical illustrations for proposals
  • Create proposal covers, section dividers, and visual elements that support win themes
  • Design marketing materials including capabilities statements, one-pagers, and presentation decks
  • Format and lay out proposal volumes in Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word
  • Work with proposal managers and writers to translate concepts into clear visuals
  • Maintain graphic libraries and templates for reuse across proposals

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 or more years of proposal or technical graphics experience
  • Current Adobe Creative Suite subscription (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • PC with latest Office 365 (certain Word and PowerPoint functions require Windows versions)
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines including evenings and weekends
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating technical and conceptual design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with federal proposal graphics and compliance requirements
  • PowerPoint design expertise for executive briefings
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Photography or video production skills

Must be eligible for federal background investigation.

How It Works

You work as a 1099 independent consultant. You set your own rate and choose engagements that fit your availability. Ovoco handles the client relationships, contracts, scoping, and business development. You deliver the work.

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Rates are negotiated per engagement based on scope, duration, and clearance requirements.
