Capture Management Consultant

Ovoco is seeking experienced capture management consultants to support federal contract pursuits.

You would lead or support capture efforts from opportunity identification through proposal submission, applying structured capture methodology including gate reviews, competitive analysis, and win strategy development.

The Work

  • Lead capture efforts for specific federal opportunities from identification through proposal kickoff
  • Conduct competitive intelligence gathering and analysis
  • Develop win strategies, themes, and discriminators based on customer priorities and competitive positioning
  • Facilitate gate reviews and prepare bid decision briefings
  • Build and manage capture action plans with milestones and deadlines
  • Develop customer contact plans and pre-RFP engagement strategies
  • Assess probability of win and provide disciplined bid and no-bid recommendations
  • Identify and cultivate teaming relationships with potential partners

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 or more years of federal capture management experience
  • Demonstrated track record of captures that resulted in contract awards
  • Experience with structured capture methodologies including gate reviews and Pwin assessment
  • Understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting small business government contractors
  • Experience with federal IDIQs, GWACs, and BPAs
  • Familiarity with SAM.gov, GovWin, GovTribe, or FPDS
  • PMP or APMP certification

Active Secret preferred. TS or TS/SCI is a strong plus for DoD capture work.

How It Works

You work as a 1099 independent consultant. You set your own rate and choose engagements that fit your availability. Ovoco handles the client relationships, contracts, scoping, and business development. You deliver the work.

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Rates are negotiated per engagement based on scope, duration, and clearance requirements.
