Agile Coach and Scrum Master

Ovoco is seeking experienced Agile coaches and Scrum Masters to support federal program engagements.

You would coach teams transitioning from waterfall to Agile, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, configure Jira and other Agile tooling, and help programs demonstrate delivery velocity within federal oversight structures.

The Work

  • Coach development and operations teams on Agile principles, Scrum ceremonies, and iterative delivery
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams
  • Configure and maintain Jira projects including workflows, boards, custom fields, and story hierarchies
  • Build dashboards and roadmap views using Jira, Structure, and Advanced Roadmaps
  • Help programs reconcile Agile delivery with federal oversight (EVM, CDRLs, gate reviews)
  • Develop Agile playbooks and training materials
  • Identify and remove impediments across teams

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 or more years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
  • CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification
  • Hands-on Jira administration experience (Cloud or Data Center)
  • Experience coaching teams through Agile adoption on federal programs
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD integration
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Zephyr Scale, Tempo, and other Jira ecosystem tools
  • PMI-ACP or PMP certification

Active Secret required for most engagements. TS or TS/SCI preferred for DoD programs.

How It Works

You work as a 1099 independent consultant. You set your own rate and choose engagements that fit your availability. Ovoco handles the client relationships, contracts, scoping, and business development. You deliver the work.

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Rates are negotiated per engagement based on scope, duration, and clearance requirements.
